it is good
to be back home. I hope I don’t have to travel much in upcoming weeks, but time will tell. I do know I’m working hard to get the house battened down for winter, which is not far away.
Still. To sit at my desk and be able to reach the Pioneer bayonet for the swiss rifle, to hold the Fairbairn sykes in my hand, and to reach out of my bed and feel the case with the double in it, all those things feel good.
Sitting here in Houston, dreaming that winter might not be far away, but knowing we’ve got a ways to go…
There really IS no place like home, however humble it may be.
home is where the heart is. The leaving of the home is the one part of preps I am not fond of. Leaving the pile. Horde will have to fight for this one.
