More house work
The going is slow, but at least it’s really annoying. I have the fascia more or less done on the front of the house and the back and the west end. The east end I’m saving for the roofers, as it’s by the power lines and I’d rather they zap themselves. it will be worth whatever they charge me to have them do this.
As this project began, I purchased a 26 foot multi ladder-this model. It has been a lifesaver, and I am happy to own it. It will certainly make other projects easier. I used to work on high iron, and then I fell a few times, and lost my nerve. I also have a lot of inner ear damage, so my balance is questionable. So now I like to stay close to the ground. That’s why I don’t own a two story home.
The roofer is supposed to be here this week. I hope to have this over with. Sheesh. I have so many other things I need to obsess about.

I’ve got a 17′ version of the same design. Bought it about six years ago at WallyMartz, right at $100+tax.
It’ll fit into the trunk of a Crown Vic, and doesn’t consume too much space in the bed of the F-150.
And if I need a taller ladder, I call the shop and the foreman brings one out. Usually, when I need a taller ladder, it’s the 30′ extension, anyway. I can call out the 40′ extension, but I gave those up in the 1980s, as a suicidal implement.
Glad you’re finally gonna get the roof done though. Eases the mind, knowing that one of the biggest things ever on a “to do” list, is at long last, done.

Yeah. The guy is good, and while not cheap is appropriately priced, so he’s consequently busy. I’m willing to wait to get it done properly.
How heavy is that ladder? I have the 17 foot version by Cosco from Sam’s. It’s miserably heavy to move around.
this is plenty heavy. 50 lbs easy
