Well, that’s 2000 rounds
Or more, through the PPX. As evidenced not by any kind of a log but by 46 empty boxes of ammo on the floor. About a box went through the one with the threaded barrel, and then it went back in it’s case; the rest have been through the first one. Other than a handful of dud Federal aluminum rounds, and one Perfecta that had the primer in backwards, no misfires. No, the only thing wrong with this is the operator.
At probably 2000 rounds I put Trijicon sights on it. They were and are far less bright than I thought they’d be. The big yellow dot on the front is a help, and it has clarified exactly what changes i need to make to my glasses (Yes, I’m still fighting that).
Michelle Ressell from On Target Training Group improved my aim a good deal by helping me to improve my grip, ad a good deal of that is keeping the heels of my hands together. It’s hard to remember to do this, so tonight I put a rubberband around both my wrists to force me to remeber to keep the heels of my hands together. it made a difference.
I’m improving but still not enough to want to post a target.

Trigger time DOES help. And anything that works to improve/stabilize the grip until it’s muscle memory is good!
Og, if you own a double action revolver, it’s the best tool there is for dry-fire training. Use snap-caps, of course.
Trick is, do your dry fire by using an absolutely blank, featureless wall, and focus ONLY on the front sight. Concentrate on keeping it centered, level and immobile in the rear notch, all through the double action trigger pull.
Twenty or more “clicks” per day, and you’re not having to rack a slide for each and every snap.
This will build muscle memory for the grip, and you’ll SEE if you’re pulling the sights off in any direction. Do NOT use a light switch or ANY thing for a “target”. You only want to see the sights.
When you’ve got that rock solid sight alignment, time after time after time, etc., then you’ll notice that the “muscle memory” thing, kicks in at the range, too.
And when you superimpose that sight-alignment onto a target? Then you have a very steady, solid sight-picture, and that muscle memory is going to pay dividends.
Bonus: Master the double-action revolver trigger, and every other trigger becomes much, much easier to manage, too.
Combine this with all the training you received at On Target, and you’re soon going to want to post pics of your targets.
Plus, accurate shooting is even more fun that just “shooting”!

“…not enough to want to post a target. ”
PUSSY.
Thank you Mr Trump for bringing that word back into fashion.
Seriously. A man need not fear posting progress as he works towards a goal. The before and after pics are without context if all you see is “after”.
Well, as soon as I have a target that I make some actual holes in, I will post it.
You might remember this one from last year: https://genericviews.wordpress.com/2015/08/23/range-report/
It has at least one unstruck target.
Well, it’s commonly known that you’re a better man than I am. And possibly, better smelling as well. I am a fairly good rifle shot, but my pistol shooting is just embarrassing. So when I get a little better, I’ll start posting targets.
I am also more humble. Possibly the most humble person ever. I should get an award.
You gonna get to SHOT this year?
No. Daughter lost that BF. Haha.
But really, just too poor this year for fun travel.
I hear you. If someone else wasn’t picking up the tab I’d be hosed too.
