What’s the big deal?

Everywhere I go, I hear people bitching they can’t buy any 380. I buy tons of it from Precision Cartridge. You have to be willing to buy 1000 at a time. The brass is hard to come by so the price fluctuates, but it’s not a big deal. You want it, you can get it.

As I intend to put my hands on a Sig 238 someday, I suspect it will be handy to have a couple K rounds of the ammo floating about.

A butter-soft slice of white meat

on two pieces of toasted rye, slathered(and there is no more suitable word than slathered) with Miracle Whip, is one of the good things, yes it is.

Turkey. Ah, yes, turkey.

I brined the turkey per Alton Brown- some vegetable stock, some kosher salt and brown sugar, peppercorns, ginger, a few other things. Sat in the briney icewater from ten wednesday to noon thursday. Then it was just “stick in a bag and cook”. Turned out yummy. Other than that, the daughter helped the wife with the lions share of the other cooking. And it was all most excellent. I killed a sweet potato pie, just to watch it die.
