Would you buy a used Probe from this man?

Went to a job yesterday, and saw, parked in the lot, my old 90 Probe. The guy I’d sold it to was working in the plant there, and it was nice to see him, and catch up.

The probe was the only car I ever bought brand spanking new. Loved that car. First car I ever had that had power windows. Well, functional power windows. And a sunroof. It was a treat to own and drive. A GT, intercooled turbo, BIG trunk (used to go camping, sleep in the trunk with the backseat folded down)

Anyway, it brought back a memory of the probe at an early age. Partner and I were headed back from a local bar called McTavern’s. (Yes, it HAD been a McDonalds, and was turned into a bar).Anyway, I’d spent the evening grazing from the bar’s veggie buffet, lots of fresh broccoli and shit like that.
As we left I started breaking wind like a horse on wild oats. And the broccoli smell was bad, bad bad.

So about a mile down the road, cold winter night in 1991, I ripped one, and locked the power windows.

Partner got out. I was doing about thirty and he just opened the door and got out. I saw him in my rearview rolling down the road

I pulled over and retrieved him, shirt a little dirty but not much the worse for wear, and we went back to his place, where I crashed on the couch for the night. Polluting the air of his apartment in ways best left undescribed.

I love that trick. I haven’t had a vehicle without power windows since, just because of that.

The fun never ends

I have a vibration in the Exploder. It’s been there a couple months. It’s similar to a vibration I got with a bad front wheel bearing a couple years back.

So i replace the other front wheel bearing. same noise I replace the rear wheel bearings. Same noise. I replaced the original front wheel bearing. Same noise. So tonight I went out and replaced the Ujoints. Same noise. I suspect it may be a tire, but I can’t afford new tires at present.

Gaah.

Fun never ends.

So the soon to be useless Ebay

has decided not to sell any gun related items online. Cars, which kill more people than guns, are still quite legal and easy to sell. Swimming pools, which kill more children than guns, are welcomed. Guns were actually never sold, but you could buy a trigger guard for that old Hopkins & allen, if you needed one, or maybe a nice new stock for your Winchester. But no, even though none of those parts were actual firearms, nor could any of them be used as a weapon, except possibly by bludgeoning someone with them, they won’t be available on Ebay anymore. Plenty of other items which can and will be used to cause the death of people will still be readiuly available, and other wondrous things, such as books of porn for gays who like young thai boys, but not any icky guns.

Scumbags. I await their fiery downfall. Pitiably I can’t make that happen.

Now what we need is a similar service which appeals to people who are interested in actual freedom.

Oh, and hat tip Ironhand, who was days ahead of me on this. OK, more than a week. Almost two. OK, I been busy.
