Sunday ouch

First: A good mass, in which we were reminded of Moses, Aaron and Hur and Amalek. I like that a lot, it reminds me a good deal of how we have to live. The gospel was about the corrupt judge, and how it was that a woman who could not bribe him nevertheless got a good judgement out of him simply by being persistent. Also, pretty durable mesage.

Then Partner met us for breakfast, we ate, he helped me scrape and paint the (Way overdue) east end of the house, hack up some of the elm in the backyard, and then we retired to $undisclosed location to engage in $undisclosed activity. That will be detailed later, with photographs, but for now must for security reasons remain a mystery. Suffice to say that it was a LOT of running around and some screaming.

And now my knees are screaming at me, and I just want to go to bed. Monday AM: The belly of the beast. I’m going in, cover me.

Country roads

Helped some friends yesterday move and anchor some machinery and ended up finishing early, so I headed home. I took backroads and enjoyed it a good deal.

I drove by the house where my cousin Charlie murdered my uncle Richard. I haven’t been there since Richard was alive- overgrown and a mess, it was always well groomed when he was alive.

sad, really. Sad also that hs murderor has been retried and found to be incompetent to stand trial and may once again walk the streets.

There is no justice, said Death. There is only me.

Another omission by ignorance

Please welcome Silicon Graybeard to the blogroll; I have been reading him but not blogrolling him for ages now. Belatedly fixed, and apologies.
