The preacher says we are beloved children of God. I like the sentiment, but I am concerned about application. I not I don’t particularly like people who hate me regardless of how much God loves them.
I see where the bakers told the government to stuff the fine. That can’t end well.
Paul, given that the 8th Amendment forbids excessive fines, one should actually hope they are not alone in this.
I’d hope you’d say the same thing when it comes to the lack of human decency exhibited by our govt with its denial of asylum for the legitimately persecuted. When the decent of left standing alone, the rest of us can no longer see ourselves as decent. Or, in the least, I pray that is still obvious.
Was just sitting here planning a way to keep my forehead free of body oil so when they asked me if I was a Christian, I could take the Sharpie from my purse and put an “X” right between my eyes, a la Ash Wednesday.
They were also heroes, they stood up and declared what they believed!
