This is an awesome class, worth every penny of the $75 I paid for it. I’ll be a better driver, more aware of my surroundings, and I’ll be a better biker, if i can get some practice.

I do wish I had more time to practice the moves, but starting late last night and even early tonight, I am beginning to be able to feel the bike under me. I hope my own bike feels the same or better, the bikes at the school are (belive it or not) almost new. My bike is over twenty years old.

Day three, and my thighs feel like I’ve been riding a horse all day.

Here’s the lot where they give the course, which is also where they give the BMV test.

It’s the Lake County Courthouse building, with the jail behind it. We have spent the last two evenings looping around the parking lot, and I have not yet fallen down. I plan to try, for if you have to scuff up a bike, it’s probably nicer if you can scuff up someone’s trainer bike. Shame, because the bikes we’re using are Suzuki GZ250s, which are pretty bikes. If small. I will note that the first one to drop a bike was a 110 lb girl, directly in front of me. I was torn between my desirte to get off the bike and help, and the instructor’s direction for me to go around. She’s ok, a little gravel in her hand. She was wearing cheap gloves.

Anyway. if I have a bitch about the course, it’s that you have almost no time to practice the moves- the one they test you on, the hardest one so far, I only got to do three times before they called us in.
I did pass the written with 100, however, and I hope I get enough practice in tomorrow so I can do better on the cycle test friday.

I also hope i can get SOME practice in this weekend. It’s gonna take me a long time behid the bars before I’m comfy doing this.

The only update is that there is no update. I’m as busy as a three peckered goat, and I just can’t spend a lot of time doing anything but work and my MSF course at present. Leslie is (supposedly) looking into hotels etc. but we’ve played phone tag. Sorry, lady, I’ll keep trying till we connect. Meanwhile write or comment with any questions.
