First official ride

So I just took the first official ride on the Suzuki. Just around the block, mind you. Enough to know (after riding a “real” bike) what needs to be fixed and what needs to be improved.

Felt good. Felt like nothing before. Even in a helmet, being out in the wind was good. Now I know I have to do some brake adjustment and some chutch adjustment, and fix a leaky seal or two, I’ll be OK.

Cager no more.

Six days on the road…

And I am finally home. Got to ge the cycle license straightened out today, get the lawn mowed (way overdue) get in some quality time with the daughter, and then MAYBE, after all that, I can get on my own bike and ride.

I noticed myself doing things this week, things I never did before. Braking in front of a curve so I could accellerate through it. Watching for sand and loose gravel. Thinking about lane position. Wishing I was on the bike. Feel it too? How ’bout you, Dick? Got that bike picked out?
