triskadekophobia
Thirteenths have never been an issue. Sometimes the fourteenths have been less than fun. For instance, on my very first Friday the 13th, I was warm and safe, swimming away in Mom. And on the fourteenth, I was wrenched forth from my warm, safe home, and dragged into a world of bright lights and loudness and cold.
Additionally, I married the Ice Princess on a saturday the 14th. The divorce was final on a friday the 13th.
No, it’s just another day. Superstitious? Well, I am, a little, but not about this.

I hate to say it, but I’m typically unaware of what the numerical day is.
I consider myself lucky to know if it’s a monday, tuesday…
As far as phobias go, I ignore those.
Half the time, I don’t even know when a Friday the 13th rolls around. I just don’t care…
So happy got-dam birthday, Og, and you may wish me one for the Fourteenth, also, and Ike, if he was here.
Since my beautiful daughter was born on a Friday the 13th the day has lost all superstitious countenances.
And y’know what? It’s not unlucky any more. Seems that once one’s perception of luck changes, one’s luck itself changes…
I, coincidentally, learned what triskadekophobia is through my years of playing Trivial Pursuit!
I’m so confused! Was Saturday your birthday? Was it that other day a few months ago when people THOUGHT it was your birthday?
Happy belated if I missed it.
This is shaping up to be as big a mystery as “What does Og look like?”
You’re supposed to be confused. And nobody is suppoosed to know the appearance of the Great and Powerful Og. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.
Hmmm. Og with two birthdays. You are like the Wizard of Og.Reveal yourself.
BTW, I’m not extremely superstitious either, but having read the comments on the link I agree with a few other folks. I’ve seen stuff I can’t explain, and I swear – though it may get me locked in a padded room to say it – I believe I’ve had precognitive dreams as well. That being said, I won’t be quitting my day job to join Miss Cleo or Dionne Warwick anytime soon.
You know, James, maybe this is something you can explain to me. If Miss Cleo was so damned good, why couldn’t she tell that whole bankruptcy thing was coming?
