Speedway!

has any size slushies for 69 cents, all summer long.

I consider it my patriotic duty to drink as many as possible, at that price. It’s not as good as a mcDonald’s Frappuchino, but 69 CENTS!!

And the food coloring in the red and blue ones makes for some interesting poo colors. Wonder why it is that so much of that food dye passes through unaffected?

Machinist at large

I had to bail one of my co-workers out of a jam the last couple days, and they were pleased to be bailed so well,I’ll tell you.

Actually, it was a misunderstanding on the part of the people providing the tooling, but it didn’t jelp anything in the long run.

So I had to modify a chuck adapter and make a locating device, a little bit or lathe work, some of it pretty touchy, and some mill time. It was nice to be back in the toolroom, I do enjoy spinning the handles.

Still picking razor sharp lathe curl out of hair and shoelaces and shirtpockets, though.

Years ago, the National Enquirer

got sued often enough that their fact checking became damned near second to none. So in matters of Gossip, I tend to trust the Enquirer more than anyone, because if they print it, it will probably hold up in a court of law.

Seems the Onion is following suit, in being a more and more and ever more realistic presentation of current events.

Talk about surrreal.
