Love the Frost poem, can still recite most of it from memory.
Me, these days, walls are touchy subjects- I’m building a retaining wall in the backyard and it’s kicking my ass. This sucker is needed- I had a bunch of work done last year to re-level the house and I don’t want it to slide back down the hill again. It’s going to look great, but sometimes it’s amazing I wake up in the morning- the aches and pains are beating me senseless. Ok, More senseless. Still, it’s going to look great when it’s done, and I have a special sense of connectedness with Mr Frost as I toil. I’ll post more pictures as it progresses, but for now, I’m happy to make it through the day.

Rachel has left us. Again. I kept going back, every day. I went back to old entries and enjoyed them. I read what she wrote whenever I could.
Her last post is here.
Her work involves hours and hours of typing, and I understand how she must feel. She claims she never had anything original to say, which was stark raving bullshit; but she deserves her freedom from the opression of the keyboard. Maybe we can get her to come visit us and comment on a post from time to time. maybe not. Whatever the case, I wish her well, I’m going to miss her, and I’m going to hope someday she has a gig which allows her to relax luxuriantly on a divan while nubian servants peel her grapes and type her dictated weblogging. We will miss you, Miss Lucas.
