Saturday, at the Big Boy in Dearborn on the southfield freeway, where we were engaged in eating breakfast, I remembered I’d forgotten to take my meds- I take proton pump inhibitors for gastric reflux, BP meds, some shit for my triglycerides and an aspirin to thin the blood. Anyway, I’d thrown a four day supply into a plastic bag, so I dumped the bag into my left hand, picked the four pills out I needed, made a fist around them, and dumped the rest back into the bag. I opened my hand, to find the four pills I’d put there, had disapeared. I looked in the bag, and there they were.
I’d done a magic trick to myself, and had no idea how.
I was unable to duplicate the event.
I need to get more sleep.
Took a much needed impromptu weekend with the Ogwife. Daughter stayed with Gramma, dog at the kennel, we drove to Dearbornistan and spent two days at The Henry Ford. Saw the gayest human being alive in a Kroger. Stayed in a fourstar hotel, for a change. Celebrated our 13th anniversary where we were married, in the Martha Mary Chapel in Greenfield Village. Stood in Robert Frost’s hallway, and listened to him read “The Road Not Taken”. Sat in the famous seat in the GM transit bus #1857 where Rosa Parks made her historic stand. More on all this later, but good to be home.
So here’s a DIY blog moment. Write this blog entry in comments.
Out of town unexpectedly (no disaster, just a trip) for two days. Seeya monday.
