at Baby Troll Blog suggests we start assembling, peacibly, to try to encourage change. A “movement”, he calls it. I agree. However, with few, if any, exceptions, the downfall of any movement is the reluctance of the most qualified to lead it. Leading me to put forth the Rule of Movement Leadership:
In any “movement”, no matter how noble or ignoble it’s intentions, there can be only three types of leaders: the devious, who choses leadership for the power it provides, the reluctant, who is qualified but must be pressed forth into service for he will not volunteer, and the fool, who thinks he is being done an honor, but is actually being ruthlessly encumbered.
I asked Mr Alger to provide exceptions to this rule, and he did, and I think they are the exceptions that prove the rule. For the most part, I believe I am right; “Movement” is exactly the same as “Union” for the good it does in the long term. They both engender the same type of corruption and overall bullshit.
