The new tires arrived for the mower yesterday, and I had them on in short order. I did go out and buy a pair of tire irons (I still have my spoon) which are not, by the way, the wrenches that come packed under your spare tire, but a flat bar with rounded edges used specifically to move rubber around without damaging it.

They were a size larger than the older tires, so they changed the character of the mower a bit, but they ride nicer and don’t rub on anything so I was pleased. I will have to re-adjust the mower height because the tires are a bit taller, but I’ll survive.

Pity it looks like I won’t be getting one anytime soon
