See, here’s the thing. No.

Gates may be selling a half made man in Win8, but he’s not selling you salvation for your soul. I’m boggled by the number of people who, if you suggested there was such a thing as a supreme being, would look at you like you had a 6″ horn growing out of your ear, but will queue up to kneel at the altar of Jobs.

Very early this morning I was watching a TV progam on the development of the Apollo Guidance Computer by MIT, and the clusterfuck it almost was. These fuckers wrote ROM by spooling wire-wrap wire through little ferrite cores. (This came to be called the LOL or “Little Old Lady” method) RAM was another set of ferrite cores with wire.

The boys at MIT were heading off in all directions with this, apparently, until NASA shipped in Bill Tindall. He was apparently the right man for the job. The TV show made mention of his Tindallgrams which I haven’t thought about in years, but apparently they’re all available to see now. Ought to translate the PDF for my Kindle.

Pardon me if im underwhelmed. Supposed to be radical. I dream of being a practicing luddite.
