Sleet

and rain. And hail.

Need to win the lotto so I can sleep in on days like this.

Inside

The injectors all pass air, have to flow test them to see how well they pass fluid- but the valves work.

Pulled off the left valve cover, and the rockers and etc. look like they were installed yesterday. Will look at the right tomorrow PM. Fuel rail clean and not a big problem. Finding a LOT of potential sources of vacuum leakage, however, and I’lll have to deal wiht that. Have the noid lites, and as soon as the fuel rail is reassembled I’ll be checking out the injector fire.

Objects in the rear view mirror

may appear when you least expect it.

Last night, I drove the ogwife to a friend’s party. We drove her car- and since she intended to get liquored up, I drove. So I paid attnetion to the rearview, something I don’t do when I’m not driving.

And I noticed a rosary hanging there- one I recognized.

“is that from my top dresser drawer?”
“Yes. There are a bunch there, I didn’t think you’d mind”
“I don’t. I’m glad you’re putting it to use”

The rosaries in question- and there are ten of them- are inexpensive ones given to initiates of the Knights of Columbus. There are ten of them, including the one hanging from the Ogwife’s mirror.

I have these, not becuase I was initiated ten times, but because I was the person (or one of them) who did the initiating- and I ended up with one each time.

Dad encouraged me to join the knights, and was immensely proud when I joined the degree team, so much so that he came to see each of the ten initiations I perfomed. Seeing that rosary hanging there made me want to hang one from the mirror in the Explorer. When she’s back on the road, I will. Thanks for the reminder, pop.
