I was asked to be part of a 3D software focus group. Sure, why not, I said! I do a lot of 3d design work, and I love it.
“So how long have you been using autodesk Inventor?”
“I don’t.”
“But Autodesk is the premier product for 3d design!!”
“No, it’s not. It’s an also ran at best, and the only way they stay in business is to give the software away”
Click.
Guess they didn’t want me to be a part of their focus group after all.
Every so often I wander intot he dollar store to peruse their book aisle, and I’m rarely disapointed. As often as not they have a big old stack of cheap books, and today was no exception.
The prize of the lot is “With a happy eye but..” by George Will.
Now, I’m not a HUGE fan, bt I picked it up and read this:
“What is liberalism’s appeal? Surely less it’s plausibility than the surprises it provides. Liberals constantly experience the excitement of the unexpected, the thrill of being startled by the unanticipated- if only by them- consequences of their actions”
I knew then and there I MUST spend a dollar for this book. That paragraph alone was worth it. I’ll let you know how it goes.
