Mowed the front and back and fed 344,976,853 mosquitoes. Was reasonably cool so I didn’t mind so much, but had to do it all over again I’da kept a backscratcher with me

I take great pride in the fact that I can start my Power King with a piece of rope. You pull it once and the carb primes, and the second time it starts, almost invariably, after forty six years.

Today it did something it only does once in a great while. It backfired.

See, I just have this piece of rope in my camo pants, that I wear while mowing. I just wrap it around the pulley, and get a bight of it in my hand, and then yank. When it backfires, It wraps that rope so tightly around your hand it can break bones. I managed to avoid losing my fingers but the hand hurts pretty good.

Feel a bit better, the “Work it off” cold cure always worked best for me, still coughing like a maniac but not so achey. Suppose tomorrow will be another story.

Don’t dare go to bed early because I’ll wake up at two and not be able to sleep anymore.

neighbor has mowed the lawn, whcih now shames me into mowing mine. At least it’s not as hot as last week.

The fever, sore throat, and splitting headache is gonna make this a treat. Cover me.

Caught some virus from the wife. Sandpaper throat. Achey and tired. Can’t sleep due to pain in hands. Can’t go to mass due to concern of infecting everyone. Probably won’t be able to mow lawn this afternoon, which it desperately needs. This morning is made of suck.
