Green.

No, not “environmental”, though I am a little mental about this.

No, I’m green with envy at Partner’s recent purchase of an engineer’s bayonet for his 1911 Swiss rifle.

Yes. It’s two feet long. And perfect.

The only thing that has prevented me from getting one in the past, was the lack of useful info on whether this would fit on a K31.

Not only does it fit on a K31, the K31 loves it, and wants to have it’s baby.

Now I have to look for one.

Partner actually left the damned thing here last night. and trusted I’d return it to him.

As I handed it back to him this morning, I told him, “it’s a good thing I love you”

A gunny is born

Ed Hering and Partner and I did the round of the local gunstores this morning; we went to the Ground Point funshow first but the line in the parking lot was so damned long we figured we’d freeze to death before we got in. So we went to Westforths and Cabelas and Blythes.

At Blythes Ed found a Ruger MKII commemorative edition- priced OK, with box but without extra magazine. He put his credit card on the counter before I could even haggle!!!!

Actually, the price was good, and the Ruger is a fine little pistol. He certainly didn’t get hurt and I doubt I would have been able to get them to come down too much off that price. If he goes back in again they’ll cut him a good deal on spare mags.

Ed has firearms from his family, but this is his first purchase for himself of something he specifically wanted, and it’s abrilliant choice- nice little 22 that he’ll enjoy forever.

Anyway, another gunny. Go give him some loving and welcome him.
