For those of you who don’t know, yet:

“Reasoned discourse” and ‘Civility” mean ‘Shut the hell up, conservatives, and let us intelligentsia, who know better than you, shove our agenda down your throat unchallenged”

Remember my dream? remember what I said about the morons of society?

The thing the left fears most is the truth. Not the minitrue that they spew day in and day out; the actual truth.

Vonnegut describes “Chrono synclastic infundibulum” in “Sirens of Titan”as “those places … where all the different kinds of truths fit together.” Vonnegut believed (there’s that word again) that the truths the left “believe” and actual truth can coexist.

They cannot. Noplace, no time. There is only truth, and not truth. The marching morons make up their own truths to serve their purposes, and disavow the real truth.

The light of day shines upon the manufactured truth of the marching morons, and dissipates them like so much fog.

That is your strongest weapon, and the one which nobody but the left can be upset that you use; the plain, unvarnished truth.

the left will call for your head, because they dislike your truth, and scream foul when it hits them. Keep at it. The light of day is the very best disinfectant.

How to make a quarter-rib

This is the process I used- for anyone who is even mildly interested- in making the sight base.

First I turned a slug so the bore matched the contour of the barrel.

Then I chamfered the slug so it was the correct external profile

then I cut a 3/4″ wide slab out of the top

Then I drilled and countersank the top to match the barrel, flattened the top, and cut the dovetail.

This is all in SolidWorks, and I hope it translates well in pictures. Next time you wonder to yourself why custom gunsmithing is so expensive, you will understand that it involves a lot more than just buying parts and bolting them together.
