from the greek ὅμο-φοβία which should, etymologically speaking, mean “Fear of the same” or “fear of sameness” has been co-opted by the gay community to mean “Fear of homosexuals” (which word does in fact mean “sexuality with the same”) is a label the Gay community loves to plant on anyone, and so misapplied, loses all meaning; it is an insult with teeth of pure Q-tip padding.

Why on earth would I be afraid of gays? Will they break into my home and install Chintz curtains? Will I suddenly be inclined to sing showtunes if I make physical contact with them? (Incidentally, I often sing showtunes, my personal favorites being the work of Rogers and Hammerstein) Can I catch Teh Ghey?

Marko, some weeks ago, made mention of the supposition that people disliked gays because they were disgusted by thinking of the mechanics of “non traditional” sex. This may be true of a few individuals, but for me- and pretty much all the people I’ve ever known, I could give a shit. Frankly, the things that men and women get up to in the bedroom (or elsewhere) are just as potentially disturbing and contain, as often as not, transfer of cooties in similar manner to those who practice “other” methods of personal contact. Who cares? Certainly, not me.

I have friends and family members who do or have done crime scene photography, both in conjunction with police and private investigators. I have gone with these people on assignment, and i have seen, with my own eyes, the worst things that human beings will do to other human beings, animals, and inanimate objects. The idea that I would be somehow disturbed or frightened by what Willie does with his Willie with Sam is ludicrous in the extreme. I have co-workers and family members who are gay, and not only do I not judge them on their personal proclivities, but the concept doesn’t occur to me. An asshole is an asshole, whether he is straight or gay.

So when a typical driveby coward troll comes by (From of all places, TEXAS!) and spouts nonsense like “Homophobic much, douchebag? ” all I can do is giggle.

So to answer your question, you anencephalic brat, No. Is that all you got? Really? Because if that’s your best shot, you got not only nothing for me to be afraid of, but you couldn’t strike fear into cornmeal mush.

The video is flatly unwatchable. I cannot personally imagine anyone that ignorant- and I deal with a LOT of ignorant people. Best, though, is the comments from our old anti-gun moron MikeB302000, who cannot see anything like this without painting everyone with the same bloodstained brush. Seems Mike believes ALL gunnies are this stupid. In his own blog, he posits that, and as he always does, says “What’s your opinion? Please leave a comment”

I don’t have opinions on the matter. I have facts; opinions are like beliefs, there is no room for them in a logical discussion. Opinions are why MikeB is the laughingstock of people with functioning brains everywhere. And I wouldn’t leave a comment on that site at gunpoint, because it would be like dropping off your children at a garbage dump.
