You know I love you, but you got a hell of a lot to learn about rock and roll.
Seems the trademark TNT promo involves the lead character from anything standing, staring at the camera, while a gentle breeze fluffs their hair. First Kyra Segewick as The Closer, now Holly Hunter in Saving Grace.
Look, folks, want to make us watch the show? Show us pictures of Holly’s ass in tight jeans. And make the series full of long closeups of the same. As far as Kyra goes, toss a couple cheeseburgers down the woman and get back to us in a year.
because I damned sure end up doing enough of them.
In the summer, when it’s nice, I like working outside on cars, and I’m remarkably good at it. The truck has had a somewhat noisy bearing since before the NOR shoot, and while it’s never been in danger of failure it’s annoying. SO I chose this weekend to replace both rear bearings and seals, and I’m about 3/4 done. Finish the job after mass today. Oh, and Broad stopped over last night to get a tuneup, which made for a refreshing interlude where I actually stood and worked, and wasn’t laying on my back.
In the theater, last week, seeing Harry Potter, I was surprised to see cigarette burns. I looked up, and saw only one projector (as I had expected). Do they still insert the cigarette burns on continuous platter movies? Or is there some tech I don’t know about?
When I ran a projector, a million years ago, we were able to show the same movie in two or three theaters by cycling through the individual reels. You could start movies a half hour apart and show the movies in two different theaters just by keeping ahead of the reel swap.
Dunno what’s changed. I know they went to continuous length platters in the 80’s, but I never noticed a burn on a continuous. ANy film geeks out there?
