The Reader, long bastion of postmodern hippie goofiness, has been sold

Typical of limousine liberals, the owners have been made millionaires, and are now bailing off to their eco-friendly mansions in the suburbs,. leaving the staff to fend for themselves.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t give a shit about unemployed hippies, but a dear friend of mine has been supplimenting her income doing work with the Reader for years. The widow’s mite she got for her work (she worked from home, she lives near Atlanta) will be sorely missed. Maybe the new overlords will keep her on, maybe not. One way or another, it’s going to change. Keep her in your prayers, she’s someone who could use a leg up.
