Having gone afield early for the first time, I can safely say THIS SUCKS GOAT PECKER FROM HELL.

I mean, I love to hunt, love to be in the woods, love the outdoors.

And the mosquitoes are so fucking annoying that it makes me want to live in a spacesuit.

I had a can of Deepwoods off with 296% Deet, and I sprayed the entire can (14 ounces) on me.

THis made the mosquitoes- if you can believe it, MORE annoying. Now, they’re buzzing around my face as if to say “i’m NOT LANDINg on you! I’m NOT BITING you!” It’s like having sixteen billion five year olds in the car.

Didn’t even get to nock an arrow.

Took four minutes to shower the deet off me. And Speedway chili cheese dog farts in the shower is a bad idea.

deepwoods OFF. use lots. bathe in it. soak clothes in it- even clothes you’re not wearing afield. drink some too. Yeah the deer can smell it. the deer want some too.

First hunting day of 07 for me.

warm. Probably not much in the way of deer wandering around. Still: I gotta scout out as couple places to hunt. Looking forward to being outside.

On the other hand, now I have a treo. I may be treeblogging out of boredom.
