not ten feet from where I stand, is a 6 point buck. Mocking me. I can see the stupid grin on his face, reflected in my monitor.

Chilly this morning but no snow. Snowed as I left Kingsbury this morning, heard a couple shots that meant some bucks died, but no deer for me. A doe the size of a pony walked in front of the car as I was leaving. Same stupid grin on her face.

Happy turkey day, folks. I’m a lucky guy in so many ways. Wish I could turn some of that luck into a freezerfull of meat.
