I don’t judge.
I think a lot of people are assholes, but I’m not judging them, I’m describing them. It’s OK by me if you’re an asshole, just don’t get in front of me on the freeway.
I have been through a lot in my life, and I’ve seen the human condition in all it’s forms. Hell, I’ve BEEN the human condition in quite a few of it’s forms.
So I’ve had an opportunity to get to know drunks. junkies. Abusers of prescription drugs. Abusers of their spouses. Of their children. gays. Lesbians. Bisexuals. Perverts of every conceivable description. cheaters, beaters, players, gangsters, murderors, thiefs, gang bangers, rapists, and methodists.
The higher up the pay scale, the more likely the person will a: Jstify his behavior, or b: try to hide his behavior.
I have found someone in almost all those categories who had some merit, of some kind, or another. But only among those who were in close touch with their own failings. Seems if you know you’re a junkie, and don’t try to shy away from that, you’re more likely to be OK in my book, anyway. And for those people, I believe there is hope. And that hope is why I don’t ever turn away from things that others find objectionable; I know that there is a human in there. And that human deserves my compassion.
Making this compassion government mandated is purely evil.

**Somewhat of an official notice**
On Election night, as well as the following day, absolutely no rioting, burning of cars, breaking into businesses, assault, battery, or anything out of the normal day to day routine be allowed. No civil unrest will be tolerated.
For the winners, we expect vibrant celebrations and the losers should be gracious enough to except the outcome, whatever it may be.
Anybody found committing lawless acts in my general vicinity can pretty much expect that I, along with thousands of other law abiding citizens will not bother to call 911. On the contrary, we can and will take the law into our own hands. As your remains will be hovering somewhere around room temperature, you will not be available to comment in your own defense.
Just sayin’.
