Job satisfaction

I am- have been, for nearly seventeen years- working for the Premier company in my industry. We are a pretty close knit group of engineers, and we very regularly do things that defy description; in a week, last week, in fact, we pulled together, from disparate suppliers and “found” components, a fully automated system for the production of an item that each and every one of my readers has held in their hands multiple times; in the case of people like Roberta, every single day of their lives. Said implements have been manufactured in more or less the same manner since the turn of the LAST century. By this specific company, as a matter of fact. And what we did went so far beyond the scope of our advertised purpose that the customer was utterly amazed. So much so that the owners of the company, the people whose name is on the door, will be visiting tomorrow to see the same demonstration. I’m spending today adding more to it, making it stronger and faster. I fully intend to leave them speechless.

Now I just hope it turns into an order.

Ch-ch-ch-changes

AOL has had a lot of grief over the last week, not allowing me to log in, giving me 404’s, etc.

I have been on AOL since it was DOS based. For a brief time, I worked as an online CL, to pay the bill when I couldn’t afford to any other way. Hundreds and hundreds of people use that email address. And now it looks very much like it has become unreliable.

C’est la vie.
