No, not your favorite knife, or your prettiest, but the one that never leaves your side. Mine’s a Schrade 897 Uncle Henry, made in USA, from when they still were made in the USA. it’s stainless because I can’t find carbon steel ones anymore.

I have a handful I bought at gunshows. I buy them when I see them, and keep a reserve supply on hand. it’s the knife I always have.

The Civillian is the only spyderco blade I’ve lusted after, but the Endura is very nice indeed.

that once upon a time we went to a movie, and sat down quietly, and watched. We had paid money to be there, and we wanted to enjoy the experience. Also, it was rude to ruin the experience for others. Your parents would shush you- or maybe even beat you- if you raised a ruckus in the theater.

In public, on the other hand, we spoke up when shit was going down badly. Sometimes- a lot of the time- our speech wasn’t politically correct.

Now you can’t go to a theater without listening to someone yapping at each other or the screen. And if you speak up about bullshit that’s going down in the real world, you get shushed or beaten up. Witness the attacks on the tea party.

The left knows that wingnuthead is doomed, and they will use this to their advantage, to get him replaced with an even bigger statist. Give this some thought. The more you think the worse it will get.

now that we have a trailerload of hardwood waiting to be stacked, it rains like a horse pissing on a flat rock.

At least I have the wood under tarp. Hopefully I can get it all done in the next couple of days so Mr B can come get his trailer back. I ought to just toss it out of the trailer onto the ground but if I had the ambition to do that I’d stack it.

My dr told me last night to take 1 gram of tylenol (Two tablets) and 600 mg of ibuprofin. Seems odd to be taking such a handful of tablets but I did it, and feel much better this morning, not nearly as stiff. Seems that recent studies have shown that the two together do a better job of handling pain than either alone, the combination of the NSAID properties of the Ibuprofin and the APAP being the magic bullet that some people say reduces pain as effectively as darvon.

As I cannot handle narcotics, I appreciate the information
