My dear old friend and confidant Mlle Jenny alerts me to the demise of her family’s longtime companion Zeke. .

In her own words:
We didn’t take enough pictures of Zeke in 15 years, I wish we had. He was a beautiful boy and this really doesn’t do him justice.
You would have liked Zeke — everybody did, even people who didn’t like dogs. Even the UPS guy, who I caught petting Zeke one day. Zeke just made people love him just by being his Zeke-y self. We all should be so good. :)
Zeke was a great dog and I miss him so much. We loved him more than most people; he was better than most and more deserving.

May G-d hold Zeke in the hollow of his Mighty Hand.

Is on Memorial day weekend this year. For those of you who aren’t involved,
This is the day (50 days after easter, hence Pentecost which means “The Fiftieth) when the Holy Spirit descended on the 11 remaining apostles, in the form of Tongues of Fire, and allowed them to speak in different languages. This is the basis of the cargo cult of “modern” Christian “Speaking in tongues” and “Baptism by fire”. Acts is pretty clear on this, people from all over were able to hear them in their own language; the idea was that the Creator gave the Apostles the ability for His message to be heard by anyone with ears to hear.

it isn’t about gabbling like a dork, despite what a lot of people think. Pretending to be an Apostle doesnt’ make you one, little snowflake.

This is a good message to have on Pentecost and a good message to carry with us tomorrow to Memorial Day, as well. As Christ gave his life for our souls, Men and women gave their lives for our freedom. Don’t let the sacrifice of Christ or the sacrifice of all those men and women be wasted.
