The whole Zombie thing has been fun. I mean, the movie was the best, I loved it, and I can watch Woody Harrelson clock a slackjawed yokelzombie with a banjo a billion times.

When Hornady came out with the green bullets, that was pushing it.

But now it’s jumped the shark. It’s sold the motorcyle, and given the leather suit to goodwill. It has grown fat and lazy, and is living in a trailer in Boca where its day starts with Jack Daniels and ends with a sixpack

A service for the father of a friend. I will drop my daughter at school, get a haircut and a shave, put on a suit for the first time in a couple years, and drive across two states to be there.

On a daily basis I deal with the mindblowingly ignorant. And their number grows. All anyone can do is fight the good fight, even though nobody listens, and keep going. The ignorant are, to those capable of reason, a crushing burden. Witness Obama voters, people who drive ten under, and tubthumping god-botherers.

So I will stand behind my friend as he deals with his father’s passing, and pray for them both. And I will pray for the patience to deal with the morons that beset me on all sides.
