to please anyone but me. I have been blessed that I can write just to shoot off my mouth, and don’t have to make a paycheck every week from this; which is why this has “og” on it and not my name. If this were my day job, it would have my name under everything, just as my name is under everything I DO at my day job.

More and more I come to the conclusion that even among the people I respect, there’s hardly any point in having a lot of the discussions I used to feel compelled to have.

There are a lot of folks that I mostly agree with, or who come to similar conclusions as myself via different paths. I enjoy reading their work, and discussing things with them, because they often offer me insights that I didn’t have before.

But I have come to the conclusion that a powerful lot of people who are ostensibly “On my side” are goat fucking morons who couldn’t find their asses with a CDV-700 if shit was pure plutonium. And people I had previously thought of as intelligent have revealed themselves to me as being incapable of any type of independant thought, and have arrived at their worldview via a mishmash of information imparted to them by fools who couched it in pretty rhetoric.

Pascal often reminds me that we are playing a game which we can, on our own, only lose- that really, only faith in the Creator will allow us to win, and probably then only in the endgame, with a lot of loss and suffering in the middle. He’s most likely correct. Certainly, prayer must suffice where reason is a gentle tide barely splashing on the ageless stone breakwater of generations of embedded superstition and lies-to-children.

We’re really fucked. Reason is an undiscovered country to most, and our enemies are not nearly as capable of fucking us as our ‘Friends”. We deserve what we get, and we deserve it hard. We have allowed the ignorant to thrive and not removed them from our midst. Pray; it may be too late to do anything else.

Remember how everyone in the media beat the hell out of Ken Starr, and how the women involved were treated? Remember how even though he was in fact guilty and did in fact lie he barely got his wrists slapped? Remember how he left office with one of the highest approval ratings of any president despite being a total piece of shit? Remember how the media made it all look like partisanship and made all the “Partisans” look foolish?

Finally got tired of looking at the little YouTube circle spinning, and upgraded the service from1.2 mbps to 12 mbps.

BIG difference. Spent most of last night watching videos in HD without waiting for them to spool up. This is a bigger data pipe than I have at work. I’mna have to get one of those Roku things and see if they work with this much bandwidth.
