And I put too many peas in the crock pot at first, so had to take some out
So tonight I fried some spam up and added a can of diced tomatoes and chilis, and the balance of the black eyed peas.
A lot better than you’d think, actually. Looking forward to having it for lunch tomorrow.
Sunday I burned the web of my thumb on the exhaust manifold of the exploder, and because it didn’t hurt too bad I didn’t draw the fire as I was taught to do. So now it’s supurated and the skin has sloughed off. itches like a mother. The far worse burn I got on the finger some weeks ago, I drew the fire, and it never gave me a moment’s trouble, though it was on the most sensitive part of my hand.
All the years I cooked with bay leaves and I just find out they are only used to de-fart foods. You can bet there weren’t any in my Black eyed peas and spam. Tomorrow is going to be epic.
wandering down the road while cars swerve to avoid him is the very definition of lack of situational awareness. I would have taken a picture but I was one of the cars avoiding mowing him down as he texted. I don’t know if he thought he was on the sidewalk or just didn’t care who he inconvenienced.
The most of the people living in this country are just as politically situationally unaware. They have no idea that they’re walking in the middle of the road or that they are about to be laminated to the pavement by a bus, so long as they can load the next picture of an angry cat making noises that sound like human speech.
Tis is why the most ignorant and disingenuous thing I can think of is to say “Mind your own business” We’re loaded with people minding their own business, and not doing a damned thing to pay attention to the shitstorm that is brewing. I am also amazed by the tone deafness of that statement- I mean, really? I should mind my own business? How about you following your own stupid fucking advice, asshole?
The business of civilization is all our business. While we wander down the road texting the people who are taking care of business are getting ready to mow us down. Lift your head up, moron. Look around.
That you just know are going to suck. Not a hard job today, but filthy, nasty, spending time in a machine dirty enough that i will have to undress and change clothes in the parking lot before i get in the car.
Yay me!
