and today, I learned that the toaster has swiched from a model which has infinitely variable serttings, to one which has three: Far to the left is “bread”, in other words no matter how many times you put the bread in it comes out relatively unchanged, “carbonize” the setting range ANYWHERE IN THE MIDDLE, and “Briquette” the setting to the far right.
Fortunately, I know how beneficial charcoal is to the digestive system.
Especially after having a submarine bowel movement.
The holidays quite the rest
I know the Ogwife did her best
To outdo the ogmom with her food
I felt like such a lucky dude
I sampled cakes and pies and nog
(I ate much like a full grown hog)
I let myself go until sunday
And back to sparseness I went, monday
I ate my normal spartan fare
and back to normal BM’s where-
I dropped a log that didn’t sink!
It didn’t float- what do you think?
It hover’d suspended in the bowl
All that rich food took it’s toll
the turd bobbed an inch between
the bottom and top- a submarine!

Seems as if they impregnate the wood first, then machine it.
