Joanna is currently houseless (not homeless, big difference) and has (only moderately tongue in cheek) offered to travel to South Dakota to cook and work for M. Dennis of Dennis ranch.

Now, I can vouch for Mr Dennis that Joanna would be perfectly safe in his company, and I can vouch for Joanna that she’d be nice to have around, being a generally nice person who would probably not bother to own an ugly cat. And based on her recipes she can most likely cook up a storm. Question is, how serious are either one of them? Enquiring minds want to know.

I don’t talk about work often- I love my job and the people who work there. But lately, they have been sending me on the most miserable fools errands.

Oh, it’s not just me, everyone is getting this crap.

I have abilities, with no exaggeration, about forty times what I’m being called on to do. I feel like a thorobred, being asked to pull a milk truck.

Yes, I’m tickled to death just to be employed- but damn. If I could USE half my brain I could make the company a wad more cash, which, hopefully, they’d be happy to pay me.

Unemployment 9.4 9.7 percent.(thanks, Dog) Economy in the shitter. Government spending money like a drunken sailor. Burocrats keep getting fatter paychecks while people who actually produce wealth are taxed to the breaking point. Government anxious to force healthcare down our throats like the diseased cock of a filthy pimp. Doubled, and soon to be quadrupled deficit- even without the healthcare boondoggle. Record business closings. Government run auto industries.
